Staying light...

Well, had a nice workout yesterday, stayed at strength/stability level for the morning workout. It was a circuit of 20 reps for: alligator push-ups, pull-ups, step ups (20 each leg), full extensions with cables, leg curls, and runners with the jungle gym. I went through twice. I'll be doing a bike ride tonight. Other than that, nutrition has been o.k. I'm really working at staying positive. Be strong!

Its funny how "staying light" to us, really probably isn't light to other people. Its like that Crossfit shirt that says, "Your workout is our warmup."

But I do know what you mean, as far as forcing yourself to work at a lighter, less intense level to focus on energy rather than breaking down to build up every time.

I've been fighting with myself constantly. Its a struggle between the part of me that wants to beat myself up because I'm not working hard enough and the part of me that is trying to be gentle with my overtrained "client". :)

Finding the balance between pushing yourself to improve and letting yourself grow by baby steps is what you and I both need to stay focused on right now. :)

Hear, hear! For now, it's working for me. For me, it's meant letting go of the need to control what the outcome of my training "looks" like and instead focus on cultivating that good energy, each day. I really feel like I'm making some progress, and for the first time in a while I feel very positive, but not intense, about going and working out this afternoon!
